Sometimes it is necessary to obtain information about an email account, such as a username and password. The user wants to configure the email account on another computer, on a mobile device such as a smartphone, or if the provider offers webmail, they want to access the email directly.
Let's start with the Change Thunderbird Password process and enter the "Saved Passwords" page. To go to the "Saved Passwords" page, click on the option under the "Tools" menu section.
Now, on the new page that loads, you have to click on the "Security" option, then go to "Passwords" and then click on "Saved Passwords".
The "Saved Passwords" button will load a new window named after the button that shows all the passwords you have saved to your email account. Click the Delete All button to delete it.
Now you need to restart the Thunderbird application on the device/system to completely clear the password cache of the mail system.
When you restart the Thunderbird application, you will be prompted to enter the new password for your Thunderbird email account. Once this is done, a new password will be saved for your email account. You can also check the "Use a password manager to remember this password" checkbox to avoid entering the password every time you open the Thunderbird app.
